This beast of a mailbox takes care of your incoming mail—like a Fortress!
Built just like our other ¼" steel mailboxes, it simply gets the job done.
With the same outer dimensions as the Large Standard, it adds:
- A designated outgoing mail compartment (3" x 5" x 11.5")
- A ¼" steel flag
- A covered incoming slot with a pull-down satin nickel handle to keep outgoing mail out of sight, out of mind.
Constructed from ¼" thick steel with reinforced, recessed doors and a perfect mail slot to get important mail and small packages while keeping hands out. Every detail is designed to block prying and protect your privacy.

How It Works
- The mail carrier pulls down the handle, revealing the incoming slot at the top (11.5” W x 1.75” H).
- Mail drops into the locked compartment—accessible only with your key.
- When the handle is pulled down, a separate enclosed outgoing shelf is revealed below the incoming slot.
- Outgoing mail cannot be locked (per postal standards), but it is hidden out of sight behind a door.
The Fortress is pre-drilled on the bottom (4 holes, 6 ¾" apart), designed to fit our Large Posts or mount to existing surfaces.
Each unit comes with a durable powder-coated finish to combat the elements.

All Fort Knox Mailboxes are built in the USA and ship directly from our facility in Grants Pass, Oregon. Each unit is fabricated for maximum quality and securely packaged to handle the stress of transit.
