Fort Knox Mailboxes are Indestructible

We built our company with one thing in mind: to build a box that thieves can't ever break into. By focusing on each component — the steel, the welding, the hinges, the doors, the locks, and the mail slot — we created the industry's toughest, most secure mailboxes.

Our Steel

Steel thickness and durability

Our mailboxes are made from ¼” steel. This is industrial, or structural steel, which is used to make buildings and bridges. It’s super thick, built to last, and the long-term solution to thinner locking mailboxes. This solid steel shell will withstand bats, rocks, sledgehammers, mailbox bombs, and vehicles!

All Fort Knox Mailboxes are hand-welded—no spot welds or rivets. All back plates, hinges, doors, and parts are fully welded.

Our Doors

We know the most common way of getting into a traditional locking mailbox is by prying open the door. Our doors are all recessed to eliminate pry points. They’re 3/16” steel with a 2” continuous hinge and reinforced with angle-iron welded to the door.

Our Mailslots

Incoming mail slots are 1.75” tall to meet USPS requirements and deter reach-ins. A 7" interior shelf also helps prevent fishing attempts.
