🔒 Rear Door Options

Fort Knox Mailboxes are available with rear-door access for secure mail retrieval from behind the unit — ideal for drive-up or walk-behind installations where front access isn’t convenient.   This is perfect for installations at busy roads, gated entries, or areas with limited front access.

Available Rear Door Configurations:

  • Rear-Door Access Only:  The front lower door is replaced by a solid steel plate and is hand welded in place.  Only mail removal is from the rear of the mailbox.

  • Keyed Alike Doors: Allows mail retrieval from both the front and back of the mailbox.  Keys would be able to access both the front and the rear of the mailbox.  Upgrade your lock, and have upgraded locks on both the front and the rear door.

Rear Door Construction:

  • Built from the same 3/16″ reinforced steel as the front doors for maximum strength.

  • Reinforced internal hinge system for smooth operation.

  • Has the same important design of recessed doors to eliminate any pry-points

  • Rear door can be equipped with the same locks as offered with the front doors.
